Frequently Asked Questions

What accessories do I need for a basic outdoor flag display?

Translation missing: en.general.icon_labels.right

For a simple flag setup, you’ll want a flagpole, spinning rings with grommet clips, and a wall-mount bracket. Check out our Premium Flag Display Accessory Bundle for a complete starter package with a flagpole included.

Do your flagpole accessories work with any flag size?

Translation missing: en.general.icon_labels.right

Our flagpole accessories work best with our 3’x5’ and 4’x6’ American flags and Specialty flags. The spinning rings with grommet clips and mounting hardware are built to match these standard sizes perfectly. While the 5’x8’ flag can technically be used on our 6-foot pole, it’s better suited for an in-ground flagpole for the best appearance and performance.

Can I use your accessories with non-Elizabeth Ross flags?

Translation missing: en.general.icon_labels.right

Absolutely, our flagpole is 1” in diameter, and our spinning rings and mounting bracket are designed specifically for 1” poles. If your flag setup works with a 1" pole, our accessories should work just fine. Every accessory is proudly made in the USA and is the same high-quality hardware we include in our American flag kits.

How do I install a mounting bracket?

Translation missing: en.general.icon_labels.right

Installation depends on your home's exterior surface such as brick, siding, concrete, or wood because each need slightly different hardware. The good news is that every Elizabeth Ross bracket comes with all of the screws and wall anchors you need. For step-by-step instructions tailored to your surface, see our flag installation guide.

Why do I need spinning rings on my flagpole?

Translation missing: en.general.icon_labels.right

Spinning rings rotate freely around the flagpole, which prevents your flag from wrapping or tangling on windy days. This is one of the most common display issues homeowners face. A flag that hangs freely is also a core principle of proper flag etiquette.
